Rules and standards for behavior within the RiderHub community

1. Introduction
RiderHub is a community built for motorcycle enthusiasts to connect, share experiences, and ride together safely. These Community Guidelines establish the standards of behavior expected from all users. By using RiderHub, you agree to comply with these guidelines.
Our goal is to maintain a respectful, safe, and enjoyable environment for every rider. Violations of these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.
2. Age Requirement
RiderHub is strictly an 18+ platform. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use any features of the Service. If we determine that a user is under 18, their account will be immediately terminated without notice.
3. Prohibited Content
The following types of content are strictly prohibited on RiderHub. This applies to all areas of the platform including profiles, voice rooms, group chats, events, and any user-generated content:
3.1 Explicit and Sexual Content
- Pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene content of any kind
- Sexual solicitation or suggestive content
- Nudity or sexually explicit profile pictures
- Sharing of intimate or sexual images of others (with or without consent)
3.2 Violence and Dangerous Content
- Content that glorifies, promotes, or incites violence
- Graphic or disturbing images or descriptions of violence
- Content promoting dangerous or reckless riding behavior
- Encouraging illegal street racing, stunting on public roads, or other hazardous activities
- Instructions or encouragement for self-harm or harm to others
3.3 Hate Speech and Discrimination
- Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age
- Use of slurs, derogatory language, or symbols associated with hate groups
- Advocating for the exclusion or inferiority of any group of people
3.4 Terrorism and Extremism
- Content that supports, glorifies, or promotes terrorist organizations or activities
- Extremist propaganda, radicalization material, or recruitment attempts
- Content that promotes or incites acts of terrorism or mass violence
3.5 Illegal Activities
- Content promoting or facilitating drug use, drug trafficking, or substance abuse
- Promotion of illegal weapons trade, smuggling, or contraband
- Facilitating or encouraging any form of illegal activity
- Content related to fraud, scams, phishing, or financial crimes
4. User Conduct Rules
4.1 Harassment and Bullying
We have zero tolerance for harassment. The following behaviors are prohibited:
- Systematic Harassment: Repeatedly targeting a user with unwanted messages, comments, or actions
- Stalking: Tracking or following a user's activity in a way that causes fear or discomfort
- Doxxing: Sharing or threatening to share someone's private information (address, phone number, workplace, license plate, etc.)
- Threats: Making direct or implied threats of physical harm, damage to property, or other harmful actions
- Intimidation: Using aggressive behavior to instill fear or silence others
4.2 Profanity and Abusive Language
- Excessive use of profanity, vulgar language, or obscene expressions
- Insults, slurs, or derogatory language directed at other users
- Verbal abuse in voice rooms or text communications
- Using offensive language in usernames, profiles, or group names
4.3 Impersonation and Fraud
- Pretending to be another user, public figure, or RiderHub staff
- Creating fake or misleading accounts
- Using misleading information to deceive other users
- Operating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
4.4 Spam and Unauthorized Advertising
- Sending repetitive, unsolicited, or irrelevant messages
- Unauthorized commercial promotion, advertising, or marketing
- Sharing links to external sites for promotional purposes without authorization
- Using bots or automated tools to interact with the platform
4.5 Misinformation and Manipulation
- Deliberately spreading false or misleading information
- Manipulating community discussions or events for personal gain
- Creating false safety alerts or misleading ride information
5. Profile and Username Rules
Your profile is your identity within the RiderHub community. The following rules apply:
- Usernames: Must not contain profanity, slurs, hate speech, sexual content, or offensive terms
- Profile Pictures: Must not contain nudity, explicit content, violent imagery, hate symbols, or offensive material
- Bio/Description: Must not contain hate speech, threats, illegal content promotion, or inappropriate material
- Misleading Identity: Do not use names or pictures that impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Provocative Content: Politically provocative, religiously offensive, or inflammatory symbols and names are not allowed
- Trademark Infringement: Do not use trademarked names, logos, or copyrighted material without authorization
6. Voice Room Rules
Voice rooms are a core feature of RiderHub. To ensure a positive experience for all participants:
- No Profanity or Abuse: Excessive profanity, insults, and verbal harassment are not tolerated
- No Explicit Content: Sharing sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate audio content is prohibited
- Respect Others: Allow others to speak, do not interrupt excessively, and maintain respectful communication
- No Harassment: Targeting specific users with verbal abuse or threats in voice rooms is strictly prohibited
- Appropriate Audio: Do not play inappropriate music, sound effects, or recordings that may be offensive or disruptive
- Room Leader Authority: Ride leaders and room creators have the authority to mute or remove participants who violate these rules
- Background Noise: Be mindful of excessive background noise that may disrupt other participants
7. Content Sharing Rules
- Route Sharing: Share routes responsibly. Do not create or promote routes that are dangerous or illegal
- Photos and Media: Do not share photos or videos of others without their explicit consent
- Dangerous Riding: Content that promotes reckless riding, speeding, running red lights, or other traffic violations is prohibited
- Copyright: Do not share copyrighted material without proper authorization
- Personal Information: Never share other users' personal information (phone numbers, addresses, license plates, real names) without their explicit consent
- Commercial Content: Unauthorized commercial or advertising content is not allowed
8. Riding Safety and Responsibility
IMPORTANT: RiderHub is a communication and community platform. Your safety on the road is your responsibility.
- Traffic Laws: Always comply with all applicable traffic laws and regulations while using the app
- Phone Usage: Do not operate your phone while riding. Use hands-free features or stop safely before interacting with the app
- Substance Use: Using the app while under the influence of alcohol or drugs during a ride is strictly prohibited
- Safety Gear: Always wear appropriate safety gear including helmets and protective clothing
- Responsible Riding: Do not promote or encourage dangerous riding behavior through the platform
- Liability: RiderHub is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages that occur during rides. Users ride at their own risk
9. Intellectual Property
- RiderHub Brand: Unauthorized use of the RiderHub name, logo, or branding is prohibited
- User Content Ownership: You retain ownership of content you create, but grant RiderHub a license to display it within the platform
- Copyright Claims: If you believe your copyright has been infringed, contact legal@riderhub.app with details of the infringement
10. Enforcement and Sanctions
Violations of these Community Guidelines will result in the following actions, depending on the severity:
Sanction Levels
- Level 1Warning: First-time minor violations will receive a formal warning. The violation will be recorded on your account.
- Level 2Temporary Suspension (7 days): Repeated minor violations or a first moderate violation will result in a 7-day account suspension.
- Level 3Extended Suspension (30 days): Continued violations after previous sanctions will result in a 30-day suspension.
- Level 4Permanent Ban: Severe violations (terrorism content, child exploitation, repeated harassment) or accumulation of multiple violations will result in permanent account termination with no option for appeal.
10.1 Immediate Permanent Ban
The following violations will result in an immediate permanent ban without prior warning:
- Terrorism-related content or propaganda
- Child exploitation or endangerment content
- Sharing intimate images without consent
- Direct threats of physical violence
- Doxxing (sharing others' private information maliciously)
- Underage users
In cases involving illegal activity, we will report the matter to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
10.2 Appeal Process
- Users may appeal moderation decisions within 14 days of the action
- Appeals can be submitted to appeals@riderhub.app
- Appeals will be reviewed by a senior moderation team member within 7 business days
- Permanent bans for severe violations (Section 10.1) are not eligible for appeal
11. Reporting Violations
If you witness any violation of these guidelines, please report it immediately:
- In-App Reporting: Use the report button available on all profiles, messages, voice rooms, and content
- Email: safety@riderhub.app
- Anonymous Reporting: You can report violations anonymously — your identity will not be revealed to the reported user
- Response Time: All reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Urgent safety reports are prioritized
12. Changes to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes through in-app notifications and email. Continued use of RiderHub after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
